Do you need a permit to remove a tree in Cheshire?

Connecticut does not generally require a permit to remove a tree on your own property.

What the state does require is that anyone advertising, recommending or soliciting tree work holds a valid Connecticut Arborist licence. Ours is CT # S4559. Being licensed is also what allows us to advise you on what a tree actually needs — including telling you when it does not need to come down.
