Southington and the towns around it
Passion For Trees is based on Summer Street in Plantsville, and we concentrate our work on Southington and the towns around it. That is a deliberate choice: staying close is what lets us answer a storm call immediately or within the same day.
Richard R. Ferreira has been in the trees 39 years. We are LINE CLEARANCE QUALIFIED arborists, and Eversource calls us out during big storms to help restore power and remove trees off the wires. We carry $1 million / $2 million aggregate insurance, workers compensation and commercial auto.
We will travel further than the towns below when a job needs us — ask.
Southington
Home base. Our yard is on Summer Street in Plantsville, and Milldale and Marion are part of the same town we work in every week.
Cheshire
Cheshire is one of the towns we work in most, and close enough to our Plantsville yard that a storm call does not wait on travel time.
Berlin
We cover the whole of Berlin including Kensington and East Berlin. Established streets with mature shade trees near wires; larger wooded lots toward Ragged Mountain.
Wolcott
The hilliest ground on our regular run. Larger properties, long drives, mature woodland running up to the buildings.
Bristol
Dense older neighbourhoods with street trees against houses and overhead lines; more open wooded ground toward Federal Hill and Lake Compounce. Forestville included.
Hamden
Steep, wooded ground — the Sleeping Giant and West Rock ridges run through Hamden.
Farmington
Some of the oldest standing trees we work on — the historic Main Street district and properties toward the Farmington River.
